Under the motto "Accelerating Integrated Energy Solutions," Europe's largest trade fair alliance for the energy industry will present cross-sector solutions at The smarter E Europe in the coming days (from May 7 to 9, 2025) that point the way to the future of 24/7 renewable energy supply. This will focus on the electricity, heat, and transport sectors, which are calling for new and innovative solutions. The smarter E Europe is a compact trade fair that brings together four trade fairs: Intersolar Europe, ees Europe, Power2Drive Europe, and EM-Power Europe. From May 7 to 9, 2025, around 3,000 exhibitors will meet more than 110,000 trade visitors from around the world at Messe München. A wealth of energy expertise will converge in Munich over the next few days
So-called renewable energies such as solar and wind are now taking up an increasing amount of space in the electricity grid. The expansion of the energy system calls for solutions. Not only generation, but also the most intelligent, flexible, and coordinated integration of fluctuating electricity volumes requires a highly reliable, secure, and possibly even cross-sectoral energy system.
As Europe's largest trade fair alliance for the energy industry, The smarter E Europe focuses on the key themes of the energy transition: digitalization and sector coupling.

The smarter E Europe brings together scientists and implementing companies
... and offers an international showcase for innovations, business models, and new technologies. The four trade fairs will bring together thinkers, visionaries, and doers on the topic of the energy value chain. Forums and conferences will discuss current trends, as well as the necessary political decisions and the entire technological development.
Thus, a quartet of knowledge on the energy world of the future is waiting for us:
It will focus on flexibility, digitalization, storage solutions, e-mobility, sector coupling, and smart grids.
The EM-Power Europe Conference will also focus on the question of how the upcoming grid investments – according to the EU, around €170 billion by 2030 – can be specifically channeled into digitalization, AI, and cross-sector grid intelligence.

Various pitch sessions will be held at the exhibitors' booths for direct exchange.
The Start-up Area is there to generate fresh ideas and also serves as a direct point of contact for potential partnerships, worthwhile new investments, or important strategic developments.

The smarter E AWARD – the renowned industry award for innovations in energy and mobility
The smarter E AWARD ceremony will be announced on the first day of the conference. The awards ceremony will focus on innovations and projects that will be highlighted by this award and that will advance the energy world sustainably.
Awards are available in five categories:
- Photovoltaics,
- Energy Storage,
- E-Mobility
- Smart Integrated Energy
- and Outstanding Projects
Companies that introduce new technologies and ideas and thus actively promote the transition to a 24/7 renewable energy supply will be honored.
