Munich. Munich fait la fête! La « Journée de l'Europe » a lieu le 9 mai, lorsque la fondation et les valeurs de l'Union européenne sont commémorées dans la capitale bavaroise. Le maire de Munich Dieter Reiter et le conseil municipal de Munich soutiennent l'éclairage du nouvel hôtel de ville aux couleurs européennes : lorsque la nuit tombe, la façade du bâtiment de la Marienplatz est éclairée en bleu et jaune et également avec un drapeau européen animé de manière intéressante. La tour olympique de Munich et le musée BMW seront également dotés d'un éclairage européen au-dessus des toits de la capitale bavaroise. Depuis le 1er mai, la ville déploie des drapeaux de l'UE sur l'hôtel de ville et sur les places centrales de Munich. Un drapeau de l'UE sera également hissé à l'Opéra national de Bavière le 9 mai. Des informations, des promotions et des offres de jeux sont également proposées dans toute la ville tout au long du joyeux mois. Le Giro di Monaco 2024 – aura lieu le 12 mai à partir de 10h


Sous la devise « Cela ne fonctionne qu'ensemble ! », l'organisateur « Bellevue di Monaco » (informations sur : bellevuedimonaco.de) transformera le 12 mai 2024 à partir de 10 heures le périphérique de la vieille ville de Munich en un itinéraire de ski de fond unique, un kilomètre à pied ou même simplement un itinéraire de promenade.


La course caritative du Giro di Monaco de cette année aura lieu le dimanche 12 mai 2024.
La formation de départ avec programme annexe débutera à 10h00 et le peloton des coureurs débutera au signal de départ à 11h00. Le maire Dieter Reiter a pris le patronage du Giro di Monaco et vous invite à courir, rouler ou simplement vous promener avec lui sur le ring de la vieille ville...

L'objectif est d'envoyer un exemple sportif de démocratie, qui constitue la base d'une société ouverte. Sous la devise amusante « Manifestation par la transpiration ! », Munich est cosmopolite, sportive et bien sûr - comme c'est toujours le cas en Bavière - aussi de bonne humeur !

La Longue Nuit de la Musique aura lieu le 11 mai 2024 en différents lieux

Au cours de la « Longue Nuit de la Musique », nous rencontrerons des milliers de personnes, de musiciens et de groupes qui apportent différents styles de musique EN DIRECT dans la capitale de l'État. Il existe des lieux passionnants et très insolites : dans les librairies, les clubs de notre ville, les cinémas, les musées, les églises mais aussi dans les caisses d'épargne ainsi que dans les cafés et de nombreuses tavernes bavaroises.

The Giro di Monaco 2024 – takes place on May 12th from 10 a.m


Under the motto “It only works together!”, on May 12, 2024 from 10 a.m. the organizer “Bellevue di Monaco” (information at: bellevuedimonaco.de) will turn the Munich Old Town Ring into a unique cross-country skiing route, a walking mile or even just a strolling route.


This year's Giro di Monaco charity run will take place on Sunday, May 12, 2024.

The starting line-up with supporting program starts at 10:00 a.m. and the field of runners will start with the starting signal at 11:00 a.m. Mayor Dieter Reiter has taken over the patronage of the Giro di Monaco and invites you to run, roll or just stroll around the old town ring with him...

München. Am 9. Mai findet der „Europatag“ statt, an welchem in der Bayerischen Landeshauptstadt an die Gründung und die Werte der Europäischen Union erinnert wird. Der Münchner Oberbürgermeister Dieter Reiter und der Münchner Stadtrat unterstützen die Beleuchtung des Neue Rathaus in Europa-Farben: beim Einsetzen der Dunkelheit wird die Front des Gebäudes am Marienplatz in Blau und Gelb und außerdem mit einer interessant animierten EU-Flagge illuminiert. Über den Dächern der Bayerischen Landeshauptstadt wird außerdem der Münchner Olympiaturm und das BMW Museum die EU-Beleuchtung tragen. Seit dem 01. Mai zeigt die Stadt am Rathaus sowie an zentralen Plätzen in München EU-Flaggen. An der Bayerischen Staatsoper wird am 9. Mai auch eine EU-Flagge gehisst. Der Giro di Monaco 2024 – findet am 12. Mai ab 10 Uhr statt

Unter dem Motto „Nur gemeinsam läuft’s!“ wird am 12. Mai 2024 ab 10 Uhr durch den Veranstalter „Bellevue di Monaco“ (Informationen unter: bellevuedimonaco.de) der Münchner Altstadtring einmalig zur Langlaufstrecke, Walkingmeile oder auch nur zur Flanierstrecke. 

Der diesjährige Benefizlauf Giro di Monaco wird am Sonntag, den 12. Mai 2024 stattfinden.
Die Startaufstellung mit Rahmenprogramm läuft ab 10:00 Uhr und mit dem Startsignal wird ab 11:00 Uhr das Läuferfeld starten. Die Schirmherrschaft für den Giro di Monaco hat Oberbürgermeisters Dieter Reiter übernommen, der einlädt gemeinsam mit ihm eine Runde um den Altstadtring zu laufen, zu rollen oder auch nur zu schlendern … 

Damit soll ein sportliches Zeichen für Demokratie gesetzt werden, die die Grundlage für eine offene Gesellschaft bildet. Unter dem lustigen Motto „Demonstration durch Transpiration!“ zeigt sich München weltoffen, sportlich und natürlich - wie das in Bayern immer so ist – auch gutgelaunt!

Die Lange Nacht der Musik findet am 11. Mai 2024 an diversen Orten statt

In der „Lange Nacht der Musik“ werden wir mit tausenden Menschen Musikern und Bands begegnen, die verschiedene Musikstile LIVE in die Landeshauptstadt bringen. Es gibt spannende und auch sehr ungewöhnliche Spielstätten: in Buchläden, den Clubs unserer Stadt, Kinos, Museen, Kirchen und auch in Sparkassen ebenso wie in Cafés und vielen bayerischen Wirtshäusern.

Depuis 1810, l'Oktoberfest de Munich a lieu chaque année sur la grande Theresienwiese, qui offre un espace ouvert de 42 hectares.

La toute première Oktoberfest de Munich a eu lieu en octobre 1810 à l'occasion du mariage du prince héritier Louis de Bavière avec Thérèse de Saxe-Hildburghausen. En l'honneur de la mariée, le pré a été nommé « Theresiens Wiese », puis simplement Theresienwiese. Aujourd’hui encore, le terme Wiesn est le synonyme mondialement connu de l’Oktoberfest de Munich.

En dehors des festivités, on trouve un skate park et un terrain de basket en bordure de l'Oktoberfest, ainsi que quelques buts qui jalonnent les terrains de football. Un parcours de parc à vélos a été peint sur lequel tout le monde peut s'entraîner et vous pouvez monter les escaliers à l'intérieur et regarder depuis la grande statue de Bavière devant le Hall of Fame. De là, vous pouvez non seulement voir la vieille ville avec les célèbres tours de la Frauenkirche et la tour de l'hôtel de ville, mais quand il fait beau, vous pouvez également voir les Alpes bavaroises, idéales pour la randonnée. Le pré de l'Oktoberfest est situé au milieu du quartier Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt de Munich. Pendant la journée, vous devez utiliser les portes ouvertes et entrer dans le Temple de la renommée bordé de piliers, où le pays rend hommage aux célèbres Bavarois avec leurs propres bustes.

La 189ème Oktoberfest de Munich 2024

Cette année aussi, l'entrée des hôtes de l'Oktoberfest et la célèbre bière pression de l'Oktoberfest à Schottenhamel ouvriront les festivités. De nombreux éléments de programmation seront présents pendant le festival du 21 septembre au 6 octobre, comme le fameux tir au canon.

 L'entrée symbolique de l'Oktoberfest 2024 amène traditionnellement la bière originale de l'Oktoberfest des six grandes brasseries munichoises dans des fûts en bois dans les salles des fêtes le premier samedi de l'Oktoberfest.

Lorsque la bière arrive sur la Theresienwiese dans des wagons de brasserie décorés de manière festive, alors l'heure est venue à Munich : c'est à nouveau l'Oktoberfest ! Les voitures colorées et les équipes de brasserie des hôtes de l'Oktoberfest seront vues le 21 septembre 2024 à 10h45, de la Josephspitalstrasse à travers la ville jusqu'à la Theresienwiese. Des tribunes seront installées ici et là le long du parcours pour que vous puissiez observer.

Les hôtes de Wiesn - surtout les calèches du festival avec le père de l'État Markus Söder et le maire de la capitale du Land Munich Dieter Reiter - quittent la Josephspitalstrasse derrière la Sendlinger Tor sur la large Sonnenstrasse, puis tournent dans la Schwanthaler Strasse et continuent tout droit jusqu'au Bavariaring, De là, vous arrivez directement à la Wirtsbudenstrasse où sont alignées les tentes des fêtes, ou plutôt les salles des fêtes, des grands aubergistes de l'Oktoberfest. En 2023, environ 1 000 participants ont pris part à l'entrée festive.

Chaque année, le premier samedi de l'Oktoberfest, on entend « O'zapft is ! »

... lorsque le maire de la ville de Munich ouvre le premier fût de bière de l'Oktoberfest avec, espérons-le, quelques robinets. Ensuite, la première bière coule dans la chope de bière et le Premier ministre Markus Söder reçoit la première chope des mains du maire. Ensuite, ils découvrent tous les deux « une Oktoberfest paisible ! » La musique continue et tous les invités dans les salles des fêtes bondées font la fête avec une nouvelle bière pour l'Oktoberfest.

Outside of the festivities, there is a skate park and a basketball court on the edge of the Oktoberfest, as well as a few goals that mark the football pitches. A bicycle park course has been painted on which everyone can practice and you can climb up the stairs inside and look out of the large Bavaria statue in front of the Hall of Fame. From here you can not only see the old town with the famous towers of the Frauenkirche and the town hall tower, but when the weather is nice you can also see the Bavarian Alps, which are ideal for hiking. The Oktoberfest meadow is located in the middle of Munich's Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt district. During the day you should use the open gates and enter the pillar-lined Hall of Fame, where the country honors the famous Bavarians with their own busts.

The 189th Munich Oktoberfest 2024

When the beer arrives on the Theresienwiese in festively decorated brewery wagons, then the time has come in Munich: it's Oktoberfest again! The colorful carriages and brewery teams of the Oktoberfest hosts will be seen on September 21, 2024 at 10:45 a.m. from Josephspitalstrasse through the city to Theresienwiese. The Wiesn hosts - above all the festival carriages with the state father Markus Söder and the mayor of the state capital Munich Dieter Reiter - move from Josephspitalstrasse behind the Sendlinger Tor onto the wide Sonnenstrasse, then turn into Schwanthaler Strasse and drive straight on to Bavariaring, from Here you get directly to Wirtsbudenstrasse where the festival tents, or rather festival halls, of the big Oktoberfest innkeepers are lined up. In 2023, around 1,000 participants took part in the festive entry.

Every year on the first Saturday of Oktoberfest you hear “O'zapft is!”

... when the mayor of the city of Munich opens the first Oktoberfest beer keg with hopefully just a few taps. Then the first beer flows into the beer mug and the Prime Minister Markus Söder receives the first mug from the mayor. Afterwards they both come across “a peaceful Oktoberfest!” on, the music is playing and all the guests in the overcrowded festival halls are celebrating with new Oktoberfest beer.

Some people are already wishing for September 21, 2024 and guests all over the world are already planning to visit the original Munich Oktoberfest.

Die Wiesn, die Theresienwiese in München ist die Heimat des Originalen Oktoberfestes und hier und da hört man, dass bereits Hotelbuchungen aus den Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika oder auch aus Australien für das diesjährige Fest vorliegen

München. Heute endet das Münchner Frühlingsfest auf der Theresienwiese unterhalb der Bavaria! Der große Flohmarkt, das Oldtimertreffen und die Feuerwerke samt Brauchtumstag hatten viele Gäste auf die weltbekannte Wiese gelockt. Aber: nach dem Fest ist vor dem Fest! Doch betrachten wir einmal den Ort der Veranstaltung: Ein jeder kennt sie: die Wies’n (bayerisch) - oder auf Hochdeutsch: die Wiese! Gemeint ist nur eine Wiese: Die Münchner Oktoberfestwiese/Theresienwiese - jene schöne große Freifläche, die einmal im Jahr das weltweit berühmte, originale Münchner Oktoberfest beheimatet. Die Flüge in die Bayerische Landeshauptstadt werden jetzt schon gebucht und auch die Hotels in München und im Bayerischen Oberland werden bereits reserviert. DENN: Hurra! Bald ist es wieder soweit: Die „Wiesn“, wie das weltbekannte Münchner Oktoberfest in Bayern genannt wird, findet heuer (gemeint ist dieses Jahr / 2024) übrigens vom 21. September bis einschließlich 6. Oktober statt. Das größte Volksfest der Welt wird wieder viele Gäste aus aller Herren Länder begrüßen und wenn auf der Bank im Festzelt noch ein Platzl frei ist, wird man hören: "Hock di her, dann san ma mehr!" - Siehe auch unseren Artikel zur Wiesneröffnung 2023: Start des Münchner Oktoberfestes mit Herz! Seit dem Jahr 1810 wird das Münchner Oktoberfest alljährlich auf der großen Theresienwiese, die immerhin eine  Freifläche von 42 Hektar bietet, veranstaltet

Das allererste Münchner Oktoberfest im Oktober 1810 wurde anlässlich der Hochzeit des Kronprinzen Ludwig von Bayern mit Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen veranstaltet. Zu Ehren der Braut taufte man damals die Wiese „Theresiens Wiese“ und später einfach Theresienwiese. Bis heute ist der Ausdruck Wiesn das weltbekannte Synonym für das Originale Münchner Oktoberfest.

Außerhalb der Festivitäten findet man am Rand der Wiesn eine Skate- und eine Basketballanlage und ein paar Tore, die Bolzplätze makieren. Ein Fahradparkur wurde aufgemalt, auf dem jeder üben kann und in die große Bavariastatue vor der Ruhmeshalle kann man über eine Treppe im Inneren aufsteigen und rausgucken. Von hier sieht man nicht nur die Altstadt mit den berühmten Türmen der Frauenkirche und dem Rathausturm, sondern bei schönem Wetter auch die Bayerischen Alpen, die zum Wandern einladen. Denn die Oktoberfestwiese liegt mitten im Münchner Stadtteil Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt. Tagsüber sollte man die offenen Tore nutzen und die säulenumstandene Ruhmeshalle betreten, in welcher das Land die berühmten Bayern mit eigenen Büsten ehrt.

Das 189. Münchner Oktoberfest 2024

Auch in diesem Jahr wird der Einzug der Wiesnwirte und der berühmte Wiesn-Bier-Anstich im Schottenhamel die Festivitäten eröffnen. Es folgen während des Festes vom 21. September bis 6. Oktober viele Programmpunkte wie zum Beispiel das berühmte Böllerschießen

Der symbolische Einzug der Wiesnwirte 2024 bringt traditionell am ersten Wiesn-Samstag das originale Oktoberfestbier der sechs großen Münchner Brauereien in hölzernen Fässern in die Festhallen

Wenn das Bier in festlich geschmückten Brauereiwagen auf die Theresienwiese kommt, dann ist es in München soweit: Es ist wieder Wiesn! Die bunten Kutschen und Brauereigespanne der Wiesn-Wirte siehen am 21. September 2024 um 10.45 Uhr von der Josephspitalstraße durch die Stadt bis zur Theresienwiese. An der Strecke werden hier und da Sitztribühnen aufgebaut, damit man zusehen kann.

Die Wiesnwirte - allen voran die Festkutschen mit dem Landesvater Markus Söder und dem Oberbürgermeister der Landeshauptstadt München Dieter Reiter  - ziehen von der Josephspitalstraße hinter dem Sendlinger Tor entlang auf die breite Sonnenstraße, biegen dann in die Schwanthaler Straße ab und fahren geradeaus bis zum Bavariaring, von hier gelangen Sie direkt auf die Wirtsbudenstraße wo sich die  Festzelte oder besser Festhallen der großen Wiesnwirte aufreihen. Im Jahr 2023 waren an die 1.000 Teilnehmer am festlichen Einzug beteiligt.

Jedes Jahr hört man am ersten Wiesn-Samstag  „O'zapft is!“, 

... wenn der Oberbürgermeister der Stadt München das erste Wiesn-Bierfaß mit hoffentlich wenigen Schlägen öffnet. Dann strömmt das erste Bier in den Maßkrug und der Ministerpräsident Markus Söder bekommt vom Oberbürgermeister den ersten Krug überreicht. Anschließend stoßen beide "auf eine friedliche Wiesn!" an, die Musi spielt und alle Gäste in den übervollen Festhallen feiern mit neuem Wiesnbier.

Manch einer wünscht sich jetzt schon den  21. September 2024 herbei und weltweit wird von den Gästen schon der Besuch des Münchner Original Oktoberfests geplant.

For more than ten years, Peter Hince toured the world with Queen and experienced "Sex, Drugs & Rock'n'Roll". On and behind the stage, in the recording studio or at a lavish party in a Munich bar. As head of the road crew, he was responsible for ensuring that Freddie Mercury was able to deliver his phenomenal performances again and again. 

Those legendary performances that many still remember today - it wasn't just the technical support that was in demand, but often also his psychological support.

Wutausbrüche und Gitarrentausch: So war es wirklich auf Tour mit Queen

Mehr als zehn Jahre lang war Peter Hince mit Queen weltweit unterwegs und erlebte "Sex, Drugs & Rock'n'Roll". Auf und hinter der Bühne, im Tonstudio oder bei einem rauschenden Fest in einer Münchner Bar.  Als Chef der Roadcrew zeichnete er sich verantwortlich dafür, dass Freddie Mercury immer wieder seine phänomenale Performances abliefern konnte. Jene legendären Auftritte, die viele heute noch in Erinnerung haben - es war nicht allein der technischer, sondern häufig auch sein psychologischer Support der gefragt war. 

Peter Hince erlebte wie Freddie "Crazy Little Thing Of Love" in der Badewanne komponierte und nach seiner Gitarre rief, das war in einer Suite im Münchner Hilton Hotel. Jenem Hotel, in welchem die Band eines Nachts, es war nach einem rauschenden Fest, in der Lobby Fußball spielte.

Hince lässt mit herrlich trockenem Humor die Zeit mit Queen nacherleben

Es sind die Siebziger und eine junge Rockband reist in die USA. Die britischen Jungs gefallen den Mädchen weil sie einen "süßen britischen Akzent" haben, berichtet Peter. Im Flugzeug durften sie noch rauchen und die Krankheit namens AIDS gibt es noch nicht. Jene Krankheit, die das Leben der Rock-Legende Freddie Mercury tragisch beenden sollte.

Munich. The heroes of music history and the double monument on Promenadeplatz in Munich: Music also needs its heroes, because the art of sound needs geniuses. While the bronze monument Di Lasso was erected specifically to honor a great musician in history who was important for Munich, Michael Jackson is only venerated at the base of this monument by his fans. A memorial site for an unforgettable musician in contemporary history.

But: All music was contemporary in its time. This double monument in front of the Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich does justice to both:

•     the KING OF CLASSICAL MUSIC of the 16th century Orlando di Lasso
•     and the KING OF POP of the 20th/21st. Century Michael Jackson.

Since 2009, the base of the Orlando di Lasso monument in front of the Hotel Bayerischer Hof has been used as a so-called double monument in memory of Michael Jackson. The music titan of pop history died in 2009 at the age of 50. The monument on Promenadeplatz in Munich has since become a place of pilgrimage for Michael Jackson fans worldwide.

The monument to Orlando di Lasso originally stood on Odeonsplatz. The bronze statue was created by Ferdinand von Miller. Because the Ludwig I equestrian monument was erected, the Di Lasso monument had to be implemented. It has stood on Promenadeplatz since 1860. Destroyed during the war, this bronze reconstruction was re-erected in 1958. The bronze base is made of granite.

Since 2009, the granite base of the monument in front of the Hotel Bayerischer Hof has become a place of pilgrimage for Jackson fans. This is where you bring flowers, write letters, bring photos and newspaper clippings. Jackson's monument, which is exposed to wind and weather, is maintained privately - by his loyal fans.

We also remember a visit by Michel Jackson to the Hotel Bayerischer Hof. At that time we saw bunches of fans in front of the hotel on the green of the promenade square. They played his songs loudly. Press photographers were there and it was touching:

And then the moment: An almost hysterical shriek went through the crowd when suddenly a curtain on the second floor of the hotel moved slightly to the side. The window remained closed – unlike in the Adlon in Berlin. For a moment you could see a face covered with a black cloth. A hat. And a waving hand. "Michael! Michael!” screamed the crowd and some cried with joy that they were able to be so close to this gifted musician in pop history. They waved back and sang even louder.

Moving moments that those pilgrims at the base of the monument to Michael Jackson will certainly remember again and again.

No city tour without the Michael Jackson monument

If the Michael Jackson memorial were closed, Munich would be one less attraction. The Michael Jackson Memorial is a living place of pilgrimage. This is tolerated by the Ministry of Culture and the City of Munich as long as the base with Jackson pictures, flowers, texts and candles is maintained in wind and weather.

Now it's that time again and the dispute over the Michael Jackson Memorial seems to be escalating once again. Two camps are fighting over their idol:

•     the Michael Jackson association MJ's Legacy with its chairwoman Nena Akhtar (Jackson Facebook page)
•     and Michael Jackson fans who are not organized.

The latter also want to bring gifts and cannot find space for them, as the monument care is the responsibility of MJ's Lagacy. This means that there is enough free space on the shady side of the monument.

Now the Ministry of Culture is getting involved because the echo of the dispute has reached these ranks. If there is no peace between the parties, then the monument - which is merely tolerated at this point - should be removed.

Orlando di Lasso a 16th century Michael Jackson

Instinctively, Michael Jackson fans seem to have chosen the Orlando di Lasso monument for their idol. It was on site. Where their hero of music history resided.

But Orlando di Lasso was a 16th century Michael Jackson. He was as famous in Europe in his time as the King of Pop was worldwide in the 20th century

Ludwig I, King of Bavaria, had the monument built in 1849 for the “tone poet” Roland de Lattre, known as Orlando di Lasso.

On the opposite side of the base there is the inscription for the King of Music of the 16th century:

Orlando di Lasso, also Orlande or Roland de Lanus, who was ennobled by the imperial letter of arms in 1570, was a composer. He was born in Mons, Hainaut, in 1530 or 1532 (here the sources are contradictory) and died in Munich in June 1594.

With this monument to Orlando di Lasso, King Ludwig I of Bavaria honored a gifted musical genius. A free spirit of music who always broke new ground and mastered all forms of musical practice. Sure, he composed masses and daily table music, German songs, French chansons, motets and madrigals. BUT: What also speaks for his unusual musical genius is the fact that he was included in collected works on music history during his lifetime.

The genius of music history: Orlando di Lasso

His listeners were “out of their minds” because of his passionate music. He ignored all guidelines of composition and rewrote the classical canon. He didn't care much about doctrine and introduced surprising moments of great impact. Sound or text effects created a sound that was “unclassical” for the hearing ability of the time.
No matter whether secular or sacred music, he created his works. For him, the reason for a composition is simply a reason to bring in his individual creativity.

He traveled to England, France and Antwerp. The first printed works of his compositions, which are kept in Venice, Antwerp and Rome, date from this time.

The year 1557 is crucial for Munich, because it was in this year that he was first recorded as a chapel tenor at the court of Albrecht V. In 1562/3 we became the bandmaster of the court orchestra. He travels a lot; is present at Maximilian's coronation in 1562 or travels to the emperor in Vienna in 1573 and so on.
An official of music!

Orlando di Lasso was showered with honors during his lifetime

•     In 1570 he was raised to the hereditary nobility
•     1574 by Pope Gregory XIII. was the first musician ever to be named “Knight of the Golden Spur”.
•     The Pope and Emperor presented him with gold
•     King Charles IX of France gave him a high honorary pension and wanted to bring him to his court
•     The Elector of Saxony was also interested in him as court music director for Dresden
•     He received first prize for the best motet compositions at the composers' competition in 1575 and 1583
•     Di Lasso stayed in Munich: in Bavaria he received a lifelong salary, essentially a music official
•     From the beginning he is treated like a simple court councilor, even though he was only a musician
•     the widow was provided with a pension
•     the sons received a job guarantee
